The idea that mental health is a multi-person state of affairs has gotten little to no attention. There is nothing in the DSM for collective illnesses such as relationships often experience. And to go beyond that, there are social delusions that no one understands. This is the tip of the iceberg, and psychology is not making any progress. It's people like us who think about these things that will inject the idea into the mainstream. So, talk about it with others!

Thanks for the support. New ideas always emerge as sketchy.

Wonderful thought provoking article. Had me considering how much of my experience is brought on(and in) by my partner’s(s’) mania/depression. I went another way in my reflection and that was to try and quantify how often my own mania/depression cycles brought forth a reaction in them(and then subjectively who was the catalyst - me?, them?, a combination of the 2? 🤔.

Wrapping it around my head.

Really interesting, thank you! I'm slowly learning what it means to accept not-so-happy moments as part of life, as opposed to reflexively reject them.
