Self-Hypnosis Inductions

For the last two years, I’ve been creating hypnotic inductions for my clients. They emerge like tulips when the time is right, and they’re always exactly the right color. The inductions, I mean, not the clients. But it’s been a while since I created a hypnotic induction for everyone.

We should have an expression for bringing a person exactly what they want, when they want it, but we don’t. It would be something like, “Leading thirsty elephants to water…” or “Feeding the grateful monkey…”

The hypnotherapy community disdains scripts: prefabricated hypnotic inductions that are read to individual clients. It’s considered unskilled to apply a canned product to a specific need. A skilled hypnotherapist should know how to create a custom induction with individual tone and content.

But it’s also true that most hypnotherapists cannot create a general induction useful to everyone. It’s not so hard to lead one person into hypnosis, but it takes a broader skill to lead a flock. That’s what I’ve done here. You’re one of the flock.

A Self-Hypnosis Script

The attached induction titled “A Secure Childhood” asks you to return to important, secure memories from a time before you were fully aware. You have those memories, and this inductions invites you to return to them. Even if your childhood was troubled, you will have memories of how you wanted it to be, and you can revitalize them.
